Presentation of Credentials by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Zambia H.E. Alexander Boldyrev to H.E. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, President of the Republic of Zambia
During the event, The Ambassador addressed the President and reiterated that “by strengthening and deepening our bilateral cooperation across all spheres but particularly in the field of energy, agriculture, industry and education we will be able to take the existing relationship to a whole new level contributing to the Zambia’s plan of turning into a prosperous country by 2030.” Noting that this year Zambia marks the 55th anniversary of its independence, Mr. Boldyrev expressed his long-lasting commitment to “achieving our common goals of serving our citizens to the best of our ability”.
In response, the President stated that «Zambia appreciates the Russian government’s initiatives which are aimed at boosting trade and economic relations including, promoting investment projects with countries on the African continent. This commitment to the development of the African continent was demonstrated at the inaugural Russia-Africa summit, held in Sochi, in October, 2019».
According to the tradition, after presenting his Credentials to the head of state an ambassador is officially recognized as a representative of his state in the host country. Thus, Alexander Boldyrev formally assumed the post of the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Zambia.
