Effective October 15, 2021, the Ministry of Health travel certificates will only be processed on a customer request. The need of the Ministry of Health travel certificate is dependent on the country of destination requirements. Meanwhile, Panabios Trusted Travel Certification is a mandatory requirement to exit Zambia and the link to the Panabios platform is https://trustedtravel.panabios.org. There is no charge to issue Panabios Trusted Travel Certificate.

Passengers departing Zambia are expected to present themselves to any Trusted Travel accredited laboratory for a PCR COVID-19 test. When a test has been run, the laboratory will generate a Trusted Travel test (TT) code that can be verified by airlines and Port Health Authorities to confirm that the test came from an accredited laboratory. Travellers will then receive a text message from Panabios and an email from the testing laboratory with a link that will allow the traveller to create an account on https://trustedtravel.panabios.org and access the TT test code.If the results issued satisfy the full requirements set by Zambia and the country of destination then a Travel Code (TC) will be issued to the traveller online for presentation to airlines and Port Health authorities. It is necessary for travellers to be registered  on https://trustedtravel.panabios.org. After entering their travel route and  travellers will see a list of accredited laboratories for COVID-19 testing.

Only COVID-19 certificates obtained on the Trusted Travel platform or verified by the Global Haven system can be used to exit Zambia. Travellers may be required to upload their results manually at www.globalhaven.org for verification (in case their test results are from non-Trusted-travel-compliant laboratories). As always, confirm the latest requirements for COVID testing with your air carrier before travel.
