On the first Easter Orthodox Liturgy in Zambia
With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and His Eminence Patriarchal Exarch of Africa Metropolitan Constantine, the first Easter Liturgy was celebrated in Lusaka
The Easter Divine Liturgy at the Russian House in Lusaka was led by Priest Georgy Ermolin, a cleric of the Alexander Nevsky Temple at the MGIMO University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. Father Georgy specially arrived from Moscow to meet with the Orthodox living in Zambia.
At the end of the Liturgy, which was attended by about 50 Orthodox Christians, Easter greetings from Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and Patriarchal Exarch of Africa Konstantin were read.
On May 4, 2024, Priest Georgy Ermolin met with the Russian Ambassador to Zambia A. Yarakhmedov.
