On the Russian-Zambian friendly boxing match in Lusaka

On December 6,  the Russian-Zambian boxing match was held in Lusaka, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Zambia.

This meeting is the first in the history of Russian-Zambian relations, which was organized by the Boxing Federations of Russia and Zambia with the assistance of the Russian Embassy in Zambia, the Russian House in Lusaka, the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Arts of Zambia, and the National Sports Council of Zambia.

The event was truly a holiday for Zambian youth, more than 3,000 of whom attended the match.

The Russian team (the second Russian team) was supported by about 200 compatriots living in Zambia and employees of the Embassy.

The arrival of the Russians in Lusaka, as well as the match, showed that Russia remains a great sports power and its athletes are welcome guests everywhere. And Zambia was no exception.
